McLeod River (AB) - Above Whitehorse Creek IV-V
Steep canyon full of waterfalls.
Park and Huck: Scout as you hike up. The falls range from 2-9m with varying degrees of difficulty. It is easy to do laps on the ~9m Gravity Sucks and at lower flows is noobie friendly. Be advised that Hammer Time Grade V-V+ lies below the canyon downstream of Gravity Sucks.
Creeking: The drops range from grade IV-VI and there are multiple must make scouts/portages.

Several Km West of Hinton head South on hwy 40 to the town of Cadomin(~60km). Continue past Cadomin for a short time to where the road runs beside the river and both run underneath a gigantic culvert(passing through the culvert leads to the Whitehorse Creek Campground). Park out of the way downstream from the culvert.
For Park and Huck: shoulder your boat and wade through the river, carry on upstream along the various paths and rail tracks for ~10 minutes until you reach the 9m Gravity sucks, a large near vertical slide dropping into a calm pool. Run laps to your heart's content.
For Creeking: Drive through the culvert and stay left following the road along the gorge until the road reconnects with the river. Park and put in.
Pool drop creeking with multiple waterfalls.
