Highwood River (AB) - Greenford to Ings Creek IV
This is a longer river run, typically done in a creek boat but possible in a playboat. The difficulty of this run varies greatly on water level as at lower water some of the features are toned down. The general picture is of Class III-IV ledges with Class II water in between. The canyon is fairly scenic. More Detail needed.

The symbols can be clicked on and provide some simple explanations of why they are there. You can also use the symbols to get directions from Google Maps to the put in/takeout. A handy thing!
If you are driving from Calgary head S on HWY 22 through Blackdiamond and into Longview. At Longview head W on HWY541 to Kananaskis Country. The takeout is easier to find relative to the put in. It is roughly 14km from the put in to the takeout. The takeout is unmarked and could be somewhat tricky to find, use the map to help you. If you take a long sweeping right hand turn you have gone too far.
Continuing along HWY541W you will reach a place called Greenford Campsite. This is one put in. If you want a longer run continue W on HWY541 and keep your eyes out for a turnoff with a bridge over the river. Look at the map for detail.
