Fraser River (BC) - Canyon V
A pool drop grade V run, most of it is read and run depending on your skill and comfort. From the takeout hike along the river right trail to scout.
In the first canyon below the falls there are many lines to choose but left is the safe route as there are a couple of benign looking keepers.
Once you clear the first canyon there are a couple of sieves along the way so be aware. The crux rapid is Terminator which is a green ramp leading into a hole that can be seen from Hargreaves bridge. Once you enter the second canyon the river makes a broad left turn. The horizon line and boogie water is the lead in followed by Terminator. Eddie river left to scout. Read and run to the large pool after the bridge and hike back to the vehicle.

Run Information
Takeout
From Jasper head West on Hwy 16 to the Mt.Robson Cafe and gas station(~85Km)which is located at the intersection of Hwy 16 and Hargreaves Rd. Head South on Hargreaves Rd for ~1 minute(~1km) until you arrive at the pull out immediately before the bridge over the Fraser river(Hargreaves Bridge). Alternate take out is at the group campground, pull a U-turn at the bridge and head back towards the cafe, take your first left and park in the lot, follow the gravel road 500m to the river. Please do not block the gravel road that leads to the river as this is the way the raft companies access the water for the float trip. As an aside the cafe can be a nice place to stop as it has homemade soup which can be great after a cold run. rivers for the float trip.
Put In
From the Take out go back to Hwy 16, turn right(East) and drive ~1.5Km to the Overlander Falls pull off on the right(South) side of the road. Park here and hike in ~500m to the river. Put in at the pool below the falls or bushwhack upstream to run the falls.

Flow Information
Runs from spring to fall with peak flows in early summer. Fed by rain and snow melt but significantly buffered by Moose lake.
