Fairly continuous grade 2 rapids through some beautiful forest. Everything is read and run but watch for log jams. One shot waves abound.
At some flows good eddy service feeds a surf wave just above the bridge, eddy river left.
Past the Meadow Creek confluence take the narrow left channel for some more technical paddling, there are few eddys in this channel though so watch for wood. Go right for a less technical line.
If this space is blank there have been no alerts posted for this specific river.
The symbols can be clicked on and provide some simple explanations of why they are there. You can also use the symbols to get directions from Google Maps to the put in/takeout. A handy thing!
From Jasper drive ~11Km west on Hwy 16 and park at the pull out on the North side of the road. This is the takout.
From the takeout drive ~4Km east to the rock cut on the south side of the road. Near the top of the hill as the road prepares to turn left there is an abandoned service road and a gravel pull out on the North side of the road. Park here. Hike down the hill and across the train tracks to the river.
Continuous run with a couple of play spots at higher flows. May be wood choked.
Flows peak in the early summer due to snow melt. There is no gauge for the river, assess flow at the take-out.
