The symbols can be clicked on and provide some simple explanations of why they are there. You can also use the symbols to get directions from Google Maps to the put in/takeout. A handy thing!
I used the directions to plot this map…the put in and takeout could be off by a few hundred meters as I couldn't see the gravel pullouts on Google Earth.
From Highway 5 near Clearwater turn NW onto the Old North Thompson Rd E (This is across the highway from the Wells Grey Inn). Follow for 1.2km to the West side of the bridge over the Clearwater river. Take your first right(North) onto Camp 2 road which runs along the right river bank. Follow for 700m to where the road branches and turns to gravel. Turn Right and follow the gravel road into Wells Grey Park for 8.5 Km, look for a short gravel road leading off to the right with a log raft ramp structure. Park on the main gravel road near here.
From the Take-out carry on up the gravel road for several more Kilometres to a very short gravel road on your right leading to the river. Park out of the way of the way near here and put on.
A short Grade III big water section with a few good rapids and surf spots.
